A TRIBUTE TO UNFORGETTABLE FRIEND Ben, it's still feels like a dream to hear that you have left us. I cannot find appropriate words to describe the pains these news brought to my heart. You worked diligently and attained the highest position in your profession during your Service career in the Nigerian Air Force. Though my junior in Service, you became my good friend early in your Service career in the Nigerian Air Force as a Member of Cadet Military Training Course 3 (CMTC 3). This was because of your matured disposition. This friendly relationship took us beyond our Service career in the Nigerian Air Force until the last day of your life on earth. This explains the deep pains in my heart at your sudden departure. You were an officer who invested in loving and touching the lives of people who came around you because you had a kind heart with empathy. I believe all who benefitted from your kindness will always carry your memory in their hearts. Throughout your eventful life on earth, you sought Christ and you found Him. Though your sudden departure leaves us with irredeemable pains, we are consoled by your close relationship with Christ whose peace you are now enjoying. You will always remain in my memory. As an Air Force officer you served your country with honor, but you were truly God’s soldier on the battlefield of life. A veteran in lifting others, with generous deeds too numerous to count. As a father you were strict about discipline, yet you never stopped telling us how proud you were of us. You told us you loved us dearly, even on your dying bed until you could whisper no more. A rare gift you are. Since our father’s demise, no one stood for us, with us, and by us like you did. You may not have been our biological father, but you were Dad all through. The weight you carried cannot be carried by one man, but the seeds you planted will bear fruit for generations. You lived each day with purpose. Serving God by adding value to everyone who encountered you. Ride on with the saints. Hug Mum P for us. Keep praising at the feet of your Saviour, Jesus Christ.
